1.1 Product Description
In building services, engineered ventilation systems are used in commercial spaces, hospitals, restaurants, or conference rooms to ensure air circulation in each room. In a real air handling unit, air is heated or cooled by a heat exchanger and purified by filters, such as to remove pollen.
The working principle of the ventilation system and its components is demonstrated. The components used are common in commercial ventilation technology and therefore highly practical. The ventilation system operates as a pure air supply system.
Air enters through meteorological louvers and flows through various components of the ventilation system, such as multi-leaf dampers and filters. A ventilation unit ensures smooth air transport. Further down the ductwork, typical components such as soundproof connections, inspection baffles, various air outlets, and fire dampers are arranged.
Soundproof connections, filters, vents, and multi-leaf dampers are visible through viewing windows. The original component functions are fully preserved.
Pressure and differential pressure records at relevant measurement points allow the pressure curve of the entire system to be represented. These components function like flow resistance in a real ventilation system. The electrical drive power of the ventilation fan is measured, and the volumetric airflow rate is calculated.
