1. Basic composition of the equipment
The production line goods sorting training and assessment equipment consists of three units: the feeding assembly processing unit, the handling unit and the sorting unit installed on the training table.
Each working unit can be an independent system and also a mechatronic system. The actuators of each unit are mainly pneumatic actuators, but the overall movement of the manipulator device of the conveying unit is driven by a servo motor and precisely positioned. The drive system has the characteristics of long stroke and multiple positioning points, and is a typical one-dimensional position control system. The conveyor belt drive of the sorting unit adopts an AC transmission device driven by a general inverter to drive a three-phase asynchronous motor.
The equipment uses a variety of sensors to determine the moving position of the object, the state of the object passing, the color and material of the object, etc. In terms of control, the equipment adopts a moubustcp PLC network control solution, that is, each working unit is controlled by a PLC, and each PLC is interconnected through moubustcp communication to achieve distributed control. On the other hand, mastering the PLC network technology based on moubustcp communication will lay a good foundation for learning fieldbus technology, industrial Ethernet technology, etc.

3. Electrical control of equipment
(1) Structural features of each working unit
The mechanical device and the electrical control part are relatively separated. The mechanical device of each working unit is installed on the bottom plate as a whole, while the PLC device that controls the production process of the working unit is installed on the drawer plates on both sides of the workbench. Therefore, the information exchange between the mechanical device of the working unit and the PLC device is a key issue. The solution is that the leads of each solenoid valve and sensor on the mechanical device are connected to the wiring port on the device side, and the I/O lead wire of the PLC is connected to the wiring port on the PLC side. The two wiring ports are interconnected through a multi-core signal cable.
(2) Control system
Each working unit can be an independent system, and can also form a distributed control system through network interconnection. When the working unit is an independent system, the main command signal of its equipment operation and the status display signal during operation are derived from the button indicator module of the working unit. The end pins of the indicator lights and buttons on the module are all connected to the terminal block.
(3) Human-machine interface
This device uses a touch screen as its human-machine interface. The touch screen human-machine interface gives the main command signal of the system operation (reset, start, stop, etc.), and the human-machine interface also displays various status information of the system operation.
4. Power supply
The external power supply is single-phase three-wire AC220V, and each main load of the system is powered separately through an automatic switch.
5. Air source processing device
The air source processing component is a basic component in the pneumatic control system. The air source of the air source processing component comes from the air compressor, and the output compressed air is transported to each working unit through the quick three-way connector and the air pipe. Its function is to remove impurities and condensed water contained in the compressed air, and adjust and maintain a constant working pressure.

(1)DC reduction motor
DC reduction motor is a motor equipped with a gear reduction box based on an ordinary DC motor. It consists of a box, a full copper coil, gears and carbon brushes. Its main function is to provide a lower speed and a larger torque. The reduction box reduces the output speed of the motor and increases the output torque through one or more gear transmissions.
(2)DC motor speed regulator
DC motor speed regulator is a device used to adjust the speed of a DC motor. It can control the speed of the motor by changing the motor supply voltage, current or magnetic flux.

(5) Three-phase AC asynchronous motor
The three-phase AC asynchronous motor is an electric traction device widely used in various occasions, which converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. The main feature of this motor is that its speed is always slightly lower than the synchronous speed, so it is called an "asynchronous" motor. Its structure mainly consists of a stator, a rotor and an air gap between them. Its working principle is that when a three-phase AC power supply is connected to the stator winding of the motor, the stator winding generates a rotating magnetic field. This rotating magnetic field cuts the rotor winding (the rotor winding can be squirrel cage or wire wound), generating an induced electromotive force in the rotor winding, thereby generating current in the rotor winding. Due to the electromagnetic force, the rotor begins to rotate, and the direction of rotation is the same as the direction of the rotating magnetic field. However, since the rotation speed of the rotor is always lower than the synchronous speed, a speed difference is generated. This speed difference is the main driving force for the continuous rotation of the motor.
(6)Inverter
The inverter model of this equipment is MD200. The MD200 series inverter adopts a book-shaped structure design, supports seamless side-by-side and guide rail installation, is small in size, easy to install, and saves space. The terminal block adopts a coverless design, which makes wiring, operation, and maintenance more convenient. The full series of models have built-in input filters to fully improve the anti-interference ability and reduce external interference. Using macro parameters, typical applications can be implemented with one click.
(7)Solenoid valve group
The actuator cylinders of the working units in this equipment are all double-acting cylinders, so the solenoid valves that control their operation need to have 2 working ports, 2 exhaust ports and 1 air supply port, so the solenoid valves used are two-position five-way solenoid valves. The integration of a group of control valves composed of multiple valves, mufflers, manifolds, etc. is called a valve group, and the functions of each valve are independent of each other

The sensors used in each working unit of this equipment are proximity sensors, which use the sensitive characteristics of the sensor to the approaching object to identify the approach of the object and output the corresponding switch signal.

(9) Double-acting linear cylinder
A double-acting cylinder means that the reciprocating motion of the piston is driven by compressed air. Both end covers of the cylinder are provided with air inlet and outlet ports. When air is introduced from the air port of the rodless end cover, the piston is pushed forward; conversely, when air is introduced from the air port of the rod side end cover, the piston is pushed backward.
(10) Thin cylinder
Thin cylinder belongs to the space-saving cylinder category, that is, the axial or radial dimensions of the cylinder are significantly reduced compared to the standard cylinder. It has the advantages of compact structure, light weight, and small space occupation.
The characteristics of thin cylinder are: the cylinder barrel and the rodless side end cover are die-cast as one, the rod cover is fixed with an elastic retaining ring, and the cylinder body is square. This type of cylinder is usually used to fix fixtures and fix workpieces during transportation.
(11)Guide cylinder
Guide cylinder refers to a cylinder with a guide function. It is generally a collection of standard cylinders and guide devices. The guide cylinder has the characteristics of high guiding accuracy, anti-torsion torque, strong load-bearing capacity, and stable operation.
(12)Linear guides
Linear guides are a type of rolling guide that consists of steel balls rolling endlessly between the slider and the guide rail, allowing the load platform to move linearly along the guide rail with high precision. Its friction coefficient can be reduced to 1/50 of that of traditional sliding guides, enabling it to achieve high positioning accuracy.

Pneumatic grippers are used to grab and clamp workpieces.
(14)Pneumatic swing table
The pneumatic swing table is the main component of the rotary material table. It is driven by a linear cylinder to drive the gear rack to achieve rotary motion. The rotation angle can be adjusted arbitrarily between 0-90 degrees and 0-180 degrees. In addition, a magnetic switch can be installed to detect the rotation position signal. It is mostly used in mechanisms that need to change direction and position.
(15)Rotary encoder
The rotary encoder is a sensor that converts the mechanical and geometric displacement output to the shaft into pulses or digital signals through photoelectric conversion. It is mainly used for speed or position (angle) detection. A typical rotary encoder consists of a grating disk and a photoelectric detection device. The grating disk is a circular plate with a certain diameter and several rectangular slits opened in equal parts. Since the photoelectric encoder is coaxial with the motor, when the motor rotates, the grating disk rotates at the same speed as the motor. The detection device composed of electronic components such as light-emitting diodes detects and outputs a number of pulse signals. By calculating the number of pulses output by the rotary encoder per second, the current motor speed can be reflected.
