SR3026 Convection And Radiation Thermal Lab Equipment Teaching Equipment Didactic EquipmentI. Product Overview
1.1 Overview
In the case of real heat transfer between two bodies, heat transfer usually occurs simultaneously through matter-bound transport, such as convection or heat conduction, and non-matter-bound transport, such as radiation. It is difficult to identify individual heats in a particular type of heat transfer.
Through the trainer, these individual heats can be assigned to transmission types. The core component is a metal cylinder inside a pressure vessel. There is a temperature-controlled heating element in the middle. Sensors record cylinder wall temperature, heater temperature and heater power.
This metal cylinder is used to study the heat transfer between the heating element and the vessel wall. Pressure vessels may be under vacuum or overpressure. In a vacuum, heat transfer occurs mainly by radiation. If the container is filled with gas and subjected to excessive pressure, there is an additional transfer of heat by convection. Heat transfer in various gases can be compared.
Besides air, helium or carbon dioxide are also suitable for testing. Rotary pumps can generate vacuums up to approx. 0.02 mbar. The air pressure creates an overpressure of up to about 1 bar. Pressure measurement can be performed using two pressure transducers with appropriate measuring ranges.
Measured values are read on a digital display and can be simultaneously transferred directly to a PC via a USB connection
