The topics covered shall include connection, reversing, operation, applications, selections, perormance measurement, and performance analysisof: DC motors, split-phase AC motors, cap-start AC motors, pemmanent capacitor AC motors,2-capacitor AC motors, and 3-phase AC motors.

The student curriculum shall be designed in a skill-based format that focuses onteaching industry-relevant tasks. The objectives shall be accomplished by organizingthe learning material into a series of learning activity packets, which are furthersubdivided into three or more segments per packet. Alf learning material needed shallbe contained in the packets incuding text material, laboratory equipment activities.and multimedia directions. No extemal text sources shall be required. The specificcognitive skills taught by each text passage shall be identified next to thepassage. Each lab activity shall be identified by the industrial task taught. Allactivities shall be highly detailed with step-by-step instructions to facilitate a self-directed learning environment. A combination of step-by-step enabling activities andcreative, problem-solving activities shall be provided. A self-review of five to tenquestions shall be provided after each segment. The curiculum must be capable ofboth self-directed and instructor directed study. Al activities must correlate directly to the hardware supplied, with detailed illustrations and diagrams.

Teacher’s Assessment Portfolio GuidesA teacher’s guide shall be provided, it shall contain student data sheets, data sheetsolutions,self-review answers, quizzes, quiz answers, student skill record sheetsand authentic assessment, A quiz shall be provided for each packet. A question shallbe provided in each quiz for each cognitive objective taught. All tasks listed in thepacket shall be listed on personalized student record sheets.
