.Modular Frame
oCross braced heavy duty welded tubuiar steel frame
Rear guard tube can be easily removed to increase work access space around the engine or to accommodate the connection of the dynamometer
Rubber engine mounts are incorporated into the frame in order to reduce vibration
o The frame is mounted on hard rubber or nylon wheels for mobility, two wheeis have locking mechanisms for stability during operation
oA 10-liter fuel tank and a 12 Volt battery are mounted to the frame
o All wiring is neatly routed next to frame members for operational safety
Safety guard is provided to the needs for rotating objects
- Standard Instrumentation and Control System
o Each test bed is provided with an instrumentation panel to control engine operation.
A throttle control is provided to set engine speed.
The instrument panel includes the following:
- key ignition switch
- operational light
3.ampere meter
- oil pressure gauge
5.water temperature gauge
6.preheater indicator
.Cooling System
oWater radiator matched the engine size
oA radiator guard is provided for safety to prevent accidents from the radiator fan
o The cooling system has a thermostat and a water temperature gauge for monitoring the engine during operation.
Electrical System
12 Volt battery
The engine has an altemator and a voltage regulator to allow the battery to be recharged during operation
An ampere gauge monitors the alternator output and charging during operation
A fuse has been installed to protect the wiring harness, engine and instrumentation
Fuel System
10-liter fuel tank that is connected to the fuel filter and fuel injection system.
Air Intake and Exhaust System
Each engine is provided with a matched exhaust system including exhaust manifold with silencer (muffler). The air intake is also provided with an air cleaner for use during operation
Electrical Test Point
All wiring connections to the ECU input and outputs are brought out to an electrical panel with terminals for each pin. This facilitates testing and monitoring of the engine and ECU.(For Common Rail Direct Injection Diesel Engine)
Electronic Fault System
At least 10 electronic faults are provided to introduce problems for troubleshooting exercises
